Turkey Tail Mushroom: A Part of My Healing Journey

One of the natural supplements that became part of my journey early on was Turkey Tail mushroom. I personally purchase mine from Miss Mango’s in downtown Melbourne, Florida, a place I trust and love for quality, locally sourced wellness products.

When I was first diagnosed in 2023, I dove headfirst into learning everything I could about natural and integrative approaches to healing. Turkey Tail quickly stood out. I had read studies and testimonies suggesting that, when taken in larger therapeutic doses, Turkey Tail may support the immune system in fighting cancer. During that time, my personal routine was four capsules in the morning and four at night.

What fascinated me most was learning how Japan has used a compound derived from Turkey Tail—known as PSK (Polysaccharide-K) for decades. In Japan, PSK has been used alongside conventional cancer treatments to support immune function and improve outcomes. It’s one of the most researched medicinal mushrooms in the world, and that alone gave me pause. There’s something powerful about ancient wisdom meeting modern science.

After receiving a clean scan, I made the decision to stop taking Turkey Tail. Looking back, I sometimes regret not continuing parts of that regimen consistently over the years. But even in that reflection, I find peace. I truly believe God had other plans—plans far greater than anything I could see at the time. My healing was not just physical; it was spiritual, emotional, and deeply faith-rooted.

I now understand that full healing isn’t always about doing everything “perfectly.” Sometimes it’s about trust. Trusting the process. Trusting the pauses. And most of all, trusting God.

Turkey Tail was one of the tools I was introduced to along the way, and I’m grateful for what it taught me—about listening to my body, honoring nature, and staying open to both faith and science working hand in hand. I share this not as medical advice, but as a testimony of my journey and a reminder that God can use many paths to bring about His purpose and restoration.
